We have been working with CivEng to deliver major renewable energy projects including:

  • Structural works for battery foundations on a 300MW/450MWh Victorian Big Battery
  • Civil and structural works on a 255MW/500MWH battery and the civil works for the project’s 275kV/33kV substation in Queensland
  • Structural design of a 114MW solar farm footings as well as the civil design for the solar farm and the project’s 330/33/kV Substation

CivEng are very accommodating when developing designs to AFC when the primary, solar or battery electrical designs have not been fully developed.  This means we rely on good interfacing and communication between design disciplines and CivEng slots in very effectively to produce a high quality and innovative design. 

CivEng have always met the project program and are always on or below budget whilst providing innovative solutions.

We have worked with CivEng, completing the entire civil design of an electrolyser fed Hydrogen refueling Station. CivEng completed all civil and structural design, along with layouts that included hazardous areas, separation distances, lighting, lightning protection, electrical conduit runs and piping, both via pipe bridges and in trenches. This project involved combining a large amount of separate equipment supplier information which was sometimes incomplete and supplied at various stages, which made the number of layout and footing changes more than would typically be anticipated. CivEng completed the design in a timely fashion with no fuss whatsoever in what were sometimes difficult circumstances. CivEng was extremely responsive to our customer requirements and changes, whilst always displaying a “can do attitude”. Throughout the entire time working with CivEng we have found them absolutely trustworthy and honest, always providing practical solutions. CivEng will remain our Civil Design partner for all civil design work into the future.
